Usually, the older type of NCR cash registers might comes in higher price.
Then, how to determine the age of a certain type of NCR cash registers? You can check it through some easy ways. First, you can check the serial number of the machine. Mostly, the serial numbers of the products could be found below the indicators of the machine. You can see the indicators of the product in front of the NCR cash registers.
If you have found the serial number, you will easily determine the age of your NCR cash registers. There will be two different charts of serial number here; chart A and Chart B. Chart A is including serial number range from 10,000 that means February 20, 1889 to 7,576,511 that means January 1, 1966. Therefore, if your NCR cash registers come with serial number between 1,370,000 and 1,470,000, it means that your machine was made in 1914.
Meanwhile, when the serial numbers of your NCR cash registers are started with S or FR, it means that your machines were rebuilt. You can take a look at the Chart B to know when the machines were rebuilt. Then, how to notice when the machine was made initially produced? Unfortunately, it will be quite difficult since the rebuilt items are considered as new products. Therefore, those NCR cash registers get the new serial number as well.
If you want to find a certain model of NCR cash registers, you can find it in some antique stores or sometimes in flea market. However, you will not find it in new condition since the manufacturer does not carry new cash register anymore. However, if you are lucky enough, you can still get NCR cash registers in great performance and in a good condition.
There will be some different NCR cash registers that you might find in the market. You can find a cash register model 410 made in 1910. This product comes in solid brass with bronze finish cabinet and oak wood base. You can find it in many different conditions, but surely you can also find a product that still comes in great performance.
Another type that is made in 1910 is NCR Cash Register Series Model 730. This certain type of NCR cash registers comes with price flags come up and the bell chimes when you open the register. This cash register is made of sturdy metal material with a wood grain finish sits upon a solid wood base.
Then, you can also find NCR National Cash Register Model 313 as some antique NCR cash registers found in the market. This product was made in early 1910, so this product surely will be really old. It comes with customer counter, dollars and cents counter. You can find this product in some original Batch A serial number, but sometimes you can also find it in Batch B serial number.
